Job Description

Job Summary:The Technical and Design engineer?s responsibilities include a various tasks like design, site visit, attending meeting, developing preventative plans for unexpected problems, estimation for BoQ and Schematic Diagram, and providing customer support. Also, should be able to identify problems, and write up reports to the direct manager.The Technical and Design Engineer will be responsible for all electrical design & engineering work activities as well as reviewing the initial design with the received RFP/Tender/key plans and prepare developing design drawings in alignment with the initial design (Schematic/Single Line Diagram).Main Responsibilities:

• A successful technical engineer should be meticulous, efficient, and have sound knowledge of the relevant engineering discipline.
• Working with International Standards of the Saudi Electricity Company and implementing them religiously throughout the project timeline.
• Familiar with CYMCAP, CYMGRD, STAAD pro, PLSCAD, AUTOCAD, MicroStation, MATLAB, MS-Office.
• Familiar with Cable Electrical parameters calculations.
• Familiar with Load Current, Emergency, short circuit current, Circulating Current, Induced Voltage under Normal and fault conditions.
• Study tender specification and prepare the pre-bid clarification.
• Prepare the BoQ and Schematic Diagrams.
• Attending JEM and prepare the report.
• Attending meeting with clients.
• Conduct surveys and site visit to gather field data
• Manage all aspects of work assigned from start to finish and ensure that all work is carried out within the set time and tender/project requirements.
• Approve and interpret engineering reports, drawings, layouts and ...etc.
• Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
• Meet, interact and work with Clients.
• Must be able to manage own time and workload.
• Handle the technical duties/activities for all aspects of his/her employment, and in addition to his/her team tasks.
• Provide the operating results of the Design & Engineering function, compare them to established goals and objectives, and report results to the line manager.
• Handle all electrical design and engineering activities for running projects.
• prepare the proposed design as per customer specification and complied with consultant comments.
• Generating the detailed electrical design drawings based on the project scope of work.
• Proper follow up with vendor to fulfil the client comments on technical datas/drawings during project execution until final AS BUILT approvals.
• Aid the Procurement function regarding purchases of electrical materials according to client specifications and requirements.
• Conduct site visit to finalize any technical issues raised during engineering, inspection, site construction.
• Attend various technical, design and progress meeting with client/consultants to resolve any technical Issue.
• prepare/ archiving electrical ?As-built? drawings and operational manuals.

• Bachelor?s degree in the relevant engineering discipline or similar.
• Experience in a similar technical role recommended.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with others.
• Any other relevant certificates and training courses are recommended.
