Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dam Design Engineer to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Dam Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of dams and other water control structures. You will work closely with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and a thorough understanding of dam design principles and techniques.   1. Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of dam projects
  2. Design and develop plans for dam construction, including structural components, water control systems, and spillways
  3. Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analyses to assess the potential impact of dam construction on nearby water resources
  4. Collaborate with geotechnical engineers to ensure the stability and integrity of dam foundations
  5. Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for dam projects
  6. Oversee the construction and implementation of dam projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards
  7. Conduct inspections and assessments of existing dams to identify potential maintenance or repair needs
  8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in dam design and construction techniques, and incorporate them into project plans as appropriate
  9. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in dam design and construction
  3. Strong knowledge of dam design principles, including structural analysis, hydrology, and hydraulics
  4. Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  7. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  8. Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
  9. Experience with project management and construction supervision
