Responsibilities

Process and record daily transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries.
Prepare and review financial statements to ensure they reflect the companys financial position accurately.
Process and review employee expense reports, invoices, and vendor payments to ensure compliance with company policies.
Manage Account receivable and cash Reconciliations.
Manage Accounts payable and maintain vendor relationships.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Generate reports and provide financial insights to aid decision-making in line with Company?s objectives.
Assist in analyzing trends in expenses and revenue, identifying areas for cost savings and revenue improvement.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify variances and recommend solutions for improvement
Mentor and supervise accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and inform decision-making
Collaborate with the finance team to provide data for budgeting and forecasting activities.
Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process
Monitor budget variances and report discrepancies to the Accounting & Finance Manager.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the agricultural industry
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of SAP system
