Job Description

Responsible for all cash receipts; receive money from sup-cashiers and disburse money from his petty cash; involved in processing credit or debit card transactions and validating checks; prepare refund sheets for his petty cash. Cash daily Deposit at bank to clear his cashier balance on daily basis.

  • Reviews and signs the attached acknowledgement before commencing duties.
  • Responsible for all cash transactions; maintain accurate records/receipts for all cash received.
  • Receive payment in cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
  • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
  • Calculate total payments received during a time period, and reconcile this with total sup-cashiers balances
  • Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records
