Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Boat Captain to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Boat Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and navigation of our boats, ensuring the safety of passengers and crew, and maintaining the overall efficiency of our watercraft. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Boat Captain, strong leadership skills, and extensive knowledge of maritime regulations and safety procedures.Responsibilities:

  1. Operate and navigate boats in a safe and efficient manner, following all maritime regulations and safety protocols.
  2. Ensure the safety of passengers and crew by implementing and enforcing safety procedures, including conducting safety drills and inspections.
  3. Maintain and repair boat systems and equipment, performing regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  4. Monitor weather conditions and adjust sailing plans accordingly to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers and crew.
  5. Communicate effectively with passengers and crew, providing clear instructions and information regarding safety procedures, boat operations, and local attractions.
  6. Manage and supervise crew members, assigning duties and responsibilities, providing training and guidance, and ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  7. Coordinate with other boat captains, port authorities, and emergency services as necessary to ensure smooth operations and response to any emergencies or incidents.
  8. Maintain accurate records of boat maintenance, inspections, and incidents, and submit required reports to management and regulatory agencies.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends, new regulations, and best practices in boat operations and safety, and implement necessary changes to improve efficiency and compliance.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Boat Captain, with a proven track record of safe and efficient boat operations.
  2. Valid Boat Captain license and certification from a recognized maritime authority.
  3. Preferred from (Nepal, Philippine, Indonesia and Sri Lanka)
  4. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse crew.
  5. Extensive knowledge of maritime regulations, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.
  6. Excellent navigational skills, including the ability to read maps, charts, and GPS systems.
  7. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair boat systems and equipment.
  8. Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the job, including long hours at sea and physically demanding tasks.
  9. Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
  10. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  11. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
