Job Description

A billing accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records for a company. They are responsible for generating invoices, tracking payments, and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded correctly. The billing accountant plays a crucial role in the financial management of the company and must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and send out invoices to customers
  2. Track and reconcile customer payments
  3. Follow up on overdue payments and communicate with customers regarding payment issues
  4. Generate financial reports and statements
  5. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
  6. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  7. Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies
  8. Maintain confidentiality of financial information
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in billing regulations
  10. Provide support to the finance team as needed
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a billing accountant or in a similar role
  2. Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  4. Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office
  5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  10. High level of integrity and professionalism
