Associate Commercial DirectorDivision: Cost, Commercial and Procurement Department: AMAALA Commercial Company: The Red Sea Development CompanyJob PurposeTo contribute to construction commercial within the Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC), through providing financial and cost support, monitoring contract and commercial performance, reviewing all types of RFQ and RFP bids before submission, assessing different types of risks in order to protect TRSDC?s interest and contribute to the overall profitability.Job Responsibilities - LeadershipStrategic Contribution ? Assist with the implementation of the annual business plan and targets and execute the strategic agenda of the Commercial and Procurement function to deliver TRSDC vision and mission. ? Ensure that the strategy is translated into operational business plans for the Commercial and Procurement function and monitor the performance and execution of those plans to achieve functional objectives and deliver the company?s strategy. Leadership ? Coordinate the activities of the Commercial and Procurement team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures. ? Manage the team by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals. ? Serve as a role model to ensure employees? awareness and commitment to TRSDC vision, mission, values, fundamentals and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated human resources, and continuously improve performance. Budget ? Contribute to the preparation of the functional budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.Job Responsibilities - FunctionalProject Performance ? Provide contractual, financial, and commercial support when needed for the Cost Director and construction function in order to ensure the profitability of all development projects. ? Manage and monitor overall contracts and commercial performance of all TRSDC projects in order to maximize margins and project profitability to contribute to the overall success of TRSDC projects. ? Work closely with cost director to prepare and revise information regarding reports related to cost control and cost management to contribute to budget management ? Develop a high level of understanding related to construction and development issues, and work with the construction team on developing proper techniques and solutions to enhance project performance. Contract and Bids ? Review all the RFQs and RFPs, bid and tender documentations and give recommendations regarding commercial policies and procedures. ? Review and assess all the contracts and identify commercial risks and opportunities to protect TRSDC?s interest. ? Ensure that all the risks are properly identified and addressed prior to the submissions of RFQs, RFPs, bid and tender documentations. ? Provide support when needed for construction and contracts functions in post-tender pre-contract negotiations. ? Support construction and project management during sub-contracting processes and phases, assist in initial scope meeting review, develop subcontract scopes of work, distribution and execution processes.Job Responsibilities - OrganizationalPolicies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports ? Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. ? Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies and standards. Safety, Quality and Environment ? Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude. Continuous Improvement ? Bachelor?s Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field ? Master?s or MBA ? PMP (Preferred) ?
