SummaryPrepares, assembles, and calibrates anesthesia equipment and assists the Anesthesiologist in daily duties.Essential Responsibilities and Duties1.Collects, checks and prepares anaesthesia equipment prior to surgery and monitoring equipment.2.Ensures that required drugs, supplies, infusion fluids and equipment are readily available prior to and during surgery.3.Prepares for all anaesthesia procedures like blood transfusion, intravascular catheterization, invasive and non-Invasive monitoring equipment, general, regional or local anaesthesia, chemotherapy and organ transplantation as needed.4.Prepares and assists in patient position for surgical procedures.5.Assists the anaesthesiologist during anaesthesia induction by manual ventilation and intubation under anaesthesiologist supervision as required.6.Prepares and administers drugs under anaesthesiologists supervision as prescribed.7.Checks blood and blood products with anaesthesiologist and administers them under anaesthesiologist supervision.8.Assists anaesthesiologist with intra-hospital patient transfer with monitoring as required.9.Assists the anaesthesiologist with any emergency resuscitation as required and responses to trauma and major disaster plan. EducationBachelors Degree in Anesthesia is required.Experience Required*Grade 08:Two (2) years of related experience with Bachelors Degree is required.*Grade 09:? Four (4) years as Anesthesia Technologist at KFSH&RC, or (Grade 08) related experince is required.? Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.? Fifty (50) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME]. Other Requirements(Certificates)Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
