Job Description

The Account Receivable Accountant plays a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of an organization, particularly focusing on the collection and management of outstanding invoices. This position is essential for maintaining the financial health of the company by ensuring timely payments from clients and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. They will be responsible for overseeing accounts receivable processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organization.Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  2. Prepare and issue invoices to clients in a timely manner, following up on outstanding payments.
  3. Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
  4. Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any billing discrepancies and improve the invoicing process.
  5. Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and implement collection strategies.
  6. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports related to accounts receivable.
  7. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies regarding accounts receivable.
  8. Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate timely payments.
  10. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts receivable function.
