Senior Valve & Instrumentation Technician Location Basra, Iraq Career Area:Manufacturing & Supply Chain Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Ensure all work performed meets the requirements of the standard prescribed in the QA Job Card including but not limiting to Client, SPM, API or ASME. * Fault finding and resolving any problems within your area of competence. * Carry out evaluation of the repairs required and fully document on the QA Job Card. * Read and understand Engineering drawings and procedures and close tolerance interface fitting. * Carry out evaluation of repairs and document in detail on the QA Job Card. * Identify and record replacement spares required. Liaise across departments when required to source spares and repairs. * Ensure PO or trace numbers are listed against any spares used on the assembly and recorded on the QA job Card and signed and dated. * Carry out mechanical fitting duties. * Understand bolt torque requirement. * Pressure test as per applicable specifications in co-operating Company safety standards. * Understand manufacturers manuals, Data Sheets and Pipe & Instrumentation Diagrams. * Mentoring and tuition of fitters and technicians during the work process. * Observe and sign off testing activities. * Compile and complete Field activities and Site reports including testing. * Be competent in Partial and Full Closure Testing. * Top Worx Replacement and commissioning. * ESDV Reporting (Emergency Shut Down Valve). * In Site Testing. * Calibration consisting of Level Controllers and Level Transmitters, Pressure Controllers and Valve Positioners. * Loop Calibrations. * Calibration and Function Testing of Control Valves Positioners. * SSV (Surface Safety Valve) Trouble Shooting, Repair and Overhaul. * Pilot Pressure Setting and Function Testing.Job Requirements:Previous experience in similar role or function with the ability to: * Calibrate Instruments and Valves - pneumatic and electronic * Perform Sealant Injection. * Execute maintenance PMR scopes (Preventative Maintenance Routine). * Compile and produce detailed reports. * Read and understand P& IDs. * Permit Authority Responsibilities * Understand and ability to perform maintenance and trouble shoot Surface Safety Valves (SSVs). * Sound technical understanding of mechanical principles. * Experience with servicing, overhaul and testing of equipment. * Knowledge of bolted joints for assembly and torqueing. * Experience working with industry standards API, ANSI, ASME.
