Job Description

Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood is currently recruiting for a Opportunity Development Engineer to strengthen our team in Basra, Iraq on a 6/1 .

  • Support the Lead Opportunity Development Engineer with maintaining the WQ-1 Opportunity portfolio.
  • Work in a multifunctional team to evaluate opportunity development alternatives:
  • Assess and evaluate cost effective technologies.
  • Select the concept and execution plan that best satisfy business objectives .
  • Develop cost and schedule estimates.
  • Support project categorization and risk ranking.
  • Assess and evaluate cost effective technologies.
  • Select the concept and execution plan that best satisfy business objectives .
  • Develop cost and schedule estimates.
  • Support project categorization and risk ranking.
  • Assess and evaluate cost effective technologies.

Skills / Qualifications
  • Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 1+ years of Oil and Gas Experience is preferred. 8+ years overall experience.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational, coordination, planning, and interface skills
  • Knowledge of production facilities to level of experience
  • Knowledge of industry standards that apply to oil and gas processing
  • Understanding of the principles of estimating; able to work with Cost and Schedule estimators to develop screening estimates for a broad range of development concept.
