OverviewThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for taking ownership of all facility electrical projects, to include maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation and related task order electrical projects. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.ResponsibilitiesMajor Job Activities:o Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace.o Comply with all Environmental & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.o Perform work required for the repair, maintenance, installation and modernization of electrical systems for site building?s equipment.o Locate and determine electrical malfunctions using testing equipment.o Repair malfunctions by such methods as replacing burned out elements, fuses and replacing defective wiring, cleaning, repairing or replacing motors.o Test electrical equipment such as motors, heaters and controls for safety and efficiency, using standard testing equipment and by observing functions.o Install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors and other electrical equipment.o Inspect circuits for specified shielding and grounding.o Report any malfunctions or lack of compliance with the SOW to the Assistant Operations Manager.o Perform inspections and prepare written reports.o Maintain effective, timely and respectful communication and interaction with other employees and manager and support other organizations.o Perform administrative tasks when directed, including material ordering, inventory, work scheduling and report preparation.o Responsible for facility custodianship of work area and management of tools, equipment and spare parts for the electrical operation.o Take initiative to analyze a situation and make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, safety and electrical codes.o Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.Material & Equipment Directly Used:Able to use desktop or laptop computers. Strong familiarity with MS Office programs ? MS Project, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio, etc... Experience with Outlook or similar email systems.Working Environment:Work is performed in a combination of both indoor and outdoor environments. This contract is performed in a contingency operations environment, in a harsh climate, and often hazardous situations. While performing the duties of this contract, may regularly be exposed to an extreme and austere desert environment. Temperatures can reach 120 ? 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50 ? 55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Must be willing and able to perform job requirements in this environment, as well as deploying to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are typically six (6) days per week and ten (10) hours per day. May be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors. Must be able to move quickly to cover during security alarms. This includes being able to lift, carry and/or wear forty (40) pounds of personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time and being capable of running during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment. Work could include assignments, or, visits to multiple sites ? either temporarily, or, long term ? in remote, or, austere locations.Physical Activities:Work may require continuous sitting, walking, and standing.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Education / Certifications:High School Diploma or GED.Completion of a four- or five-year Electrical Apprenticeship Program.Electrical Journeyman Certificate.Active and current Master Electrician License from any U.S. state.Valid driver?s license from home of record.Already possess a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance or be able obtain a favorable USG Secret clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance level for the duration of the task order.Experience:Five (5) years? electrical experience in operations and maintenance services.Three (3) years? experience in an international environment.Experience working with SOW, electrical diagrams and blueprint.Skills:o Knowledge of applicable U.S. codes and acceptable trade practices.o Previous electrical experience in an international environment with a multi-national workforce.o Knowledge and experience regarding occupational hazards of the electrical trade, related safety precautions and considerable skill required for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.o Must have good organizational and communication skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions.o Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.o Excellent organizational and time management skills.o Computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.o Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.o Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.o Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.We are committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace that values and supports the contributions of each individual.
