Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood is looking for a Resouricng Lead who thrives in a fast paced and high pressure environment to strengthen our team in Basra, Iraq. We are long for an experienced Lead with exceptional people skills and knowledge of the local recruitment process.Responsibilities include:

• Management and administration of direct and indirect reports working locally and remotely, maintaining open and effective lines of communication
• Manage people issues in a fair and productive manner; motivate others to strive for excellence and manage the effective allocation of resources to meet business requirements
• Deliver operational resourcing strategy in order to attract and engage staff, contract and key strategic hires within defined area of responsibility
• Monitor ongoing performance of local suppliers, ensuring optimum service provision and value for money
• Expert in local employment legislation, salary trends, the competitive landscape and the external factors that impact the supply of critical talent; understands the impact this has on local resourcing process and employs safeguards in local resourcing strategy to combat this.
• Makes best use of resourcing technology and tools to tackle particular resourcing challenges under area of responsibility
• Plan and lead local talent attraction campaigns with support from the Talent Attraction Manager and Resourcing Leadership
• Proactively seeks the support of resourcing colleagues across the region and global resourcing network to source internal talent for key strategic appointments
• Accountable for utilizing metrics and reporting KPIs to evaluate team performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Communicates resourcing and business strategy to local resourcing team(s) to ensure the alignment of activities in the region and to maximise efficiencies and delivery to the business
• Proactively gathers intelligence on the internal and external talent landscape, market trends, availability and mobility of candidate pools.
• Work with hiring managers and project managers to develop effective plans to facilitate a proactive approach to resourcing and candidate pipeline
• Planning ahead by ensuring that the team is proactive in developing and maintaining a pipeline of suitably qualified and available talent for current and future projects

Skills / QualificationsQualifications:

• Degree level qualification desirable but not essential

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Experience recruiting for within Iraq is essential, along with knowledge of the BCRO process.
• Arabic language skills desirable
• Prior experience of mentoring or coaching others in best practice approach and operational delivery
• Strong presentation skills and proven ability to negotiate and influence leadership internally and externally
• Experience of delivering high volume and complex recruitment campaigns
• Experience of presenting solutions to customers and working in partnership to deliver to agreed customer requirements
• Experience of working with Business Development (tenders and proposals) to enable forward planning and enhance delivery
