Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldGeneral Maintenance SpecialistThe General Maintenance Technician (Security Camera Cleaner) will be based at one of four PAE sites in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for cleaning security cameras located throughout the site and performing general maintenance as required. This position will report to the Groundskeeping Supervisor. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.DUTIES:

• Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
• Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
• Perform a variety of skilled work for security camera cleaning and repair. Prioritize, schedule, and coordinate the work as assigned by Supervisor and accomplish a wide variety of duties related to maintenance technician duties.
• Report to supervisor regarding work completed referring unusual technical or personnel issues.
• Assist supervisor in scheduling work and determining needs for equipment and supplies to meet mission.
• Provide input to performance reviews and monitor work.
• Ensure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable building codes, regulations, and requirements.
• Operate a variety of equipment and machines, including various hand and power tools to perform repair and maintenance work. Properly maintain tools and equipment on a daily basis for a safe working condition.
• Maintain various records related to grounds keeping, material inventories, and work orders.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

REQUIRED:

• Minimum Acceptable Experience Level: Four (4) years? comparable maintenance experience at the Journeyman level in an overseas environment.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Schedule, lay out, and assign work.
• Proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Basic record-keeping techniques.
• Operation of trade tools, equipment, materials, methods and techniques used in skilled and general maintenance and repair for:

• Operating large equipment to perform duties.
• Moving and transporting supplies.
• General shop and worksite maintenance.
• Medium to small vehicle operations.

• Interpret, explain, and apply codes, rules, and regulations involved in assigned maintenance activities.
• Perform a wide variety of skilled journey-level work in maintenance and repair.
• Ability to prioritize and schedule assigned work issued by the Groundskeeping Supervisor.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings and perform routine and (PM) preventative maintenance work orders as required.
• Work independently with little to no supervision or direction.
• Meet schedules and time lines.
• Maintain routine department records.
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with staff members and others departments.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports to the Groundskeeping Supervisor.
• Lift heavy objects up to 50lbs.

• Education: A high school diploma or GED.
• Licenses and Certifications: Valid drivers? license from Home of Record.
• Security Vetting: Already possess a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification level for the duration of the contract.
• Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.
• Citizenship: US Citizenship is not required.
• Medical: Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by PAE and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.

DESIRED:

• Vocational diploma in construction or completion of an Apprentice program with a Journeyman certificate.
• Previous out of home country experience and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions are a plus.
• Experience working with PAE.

• Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting general maintenance functions at an overseas facility.
• Experience providing excellent customer services.

• Computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.

WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS:This position may be located in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors.
