Job Description

Our client is seeking a proactive Facilities Maintenance Manager to drive their ambitious plans on site. This role would suit a thought leader who can offer unique guidance, inspire innovation and influence others to make a real difference in what can be an intense environment.Role Intent:

  • Day to day supervision of Maintenance Planners/Schedulers/Specialists and oversight of work execution.
  • Deliver safe, reliable and efficient maintenance execution.
  • Promote the development of the National workforce.
Responsibilities:
  • As the functional line manager for Maintenance Advisors set clear priorities expectation for the team. To include targeting setting in support of the maintenance agenda.
  • Mentor & develop the National Workforce within an agreed succession plan.
  • Recommend activity set beyond the 12-week window.
  • Accountable for efficient planning and execution of maintenance work schedules.
  • Oversees the delivery of the maintenance work schedule through the Maintenance Advisors.
  • Resolves and/or escalates systemic issues that prevent completing scheduled work.
  • Improves the performance of work execution by monitoring technicians in the field and makes productivity improvement recommendations.
  • Monitors maintenance backlog levels and understands the associated aggregated risk. Sets plans that maintain the right balance between CO and PM delivery. Develops tactical intervention plans to address as needed.
  • Champion a 0 Safety critical maintenance overdue culture.
  • Ensures that technicians understand and adhere to the Work Management processes and standards.
  • Continuously improve technician competency to support organizational needs.
  • Participates in the validation and prioritization of work for the asset (when required).
  • Participates in line Self Verification of the Work Management process and take corrective actions to support conformance.
  • Champion the Work Management process
  • Monitors the agreed KPIs and takes appropriate actions to close any deviations from target.
  • Contractor Accountable Manager for allocated contracts
  • Financial budget management responsibility within Delegation of Authority
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement
  • Manage the existing opex budget
  • Identified CI opportunities for capex spend to bring value to the Company
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record executing maintenance with time spent in a maintenance supervision position.
  • Extensive experience helping technicians understand the importance of safe, productive, efficient work execution. Skilled in behaviour change management.
  • Strong interpersonal and influence skills.
  • Competent in Maximo
  • Proven track record in managing multiple contracts & budgets
