Job Description

NES Fircroft is helping a company in the oil and gas sector find a full-time contract Data Engineer, and the role comes with an attractive contract rate.As a Data Engineer, you are expected to contribute at every stage of the Upstream value chain. You have the potential to make a significant impact on how efficiently and effectively our business operates.In your first week in this Data Engineer role, you can expect to:

  • Maintain & Manager ROO Reporting Servers Administrative
  • Design & Drive ROOs Data Analytics requirements
  • Design complex analytics tools for ROO Business users while maintaining the required standardization of reporting and processes at ROO
  • Assist business users in gaining expertise in End User analytics using tools such as Power BI
  • Device & Utilise Data Management tools and techniques to support BAU (Business as usual)
To apply for this Data Engineer role, you will need a full-time bachelors degree in Science or Computer Science or Engineering with Mathematics. You will also require the following:
  • 3+ years of Technical Experience working in Data Analytics or Data Management in Large Organizations in Large Scale Data Management & Integration Projects
  • 8+ Years of Data Analytics & relevant IT experience
  • Broad understanding of Oil & Gas Upstream resources, processes, and Functions
  • Database Management Systems & best practices (T-SQL; MDX; PLSQL; DAX)
  • Data Migration and ETL Projects (Preferred tools - SSIS)
