AddThis Sharing ButtonsPosition LocationsClassified,Tracking Code8313Position TypeFull-Time/Regular Summary As an IFRC Computer network support specialist you will provide installation, operation, and maintenance repair support of uniquely configured, mobile, and stationary Government Furnished Satellite systems (ground stations), phones, and data ports for Constellation, Hughes, and Broadband Global Area Networks at IF/RCO OCONUS locations. Maintains assigned IT and satellite equipment through an established life cycle management program on a three (3) to five (5) year basis to accurately track and maintain the hardware and software assets to increase security, protect intellectual property, and mitigate the risk of obsolescence. Ensure that the infrastructure and operations of IT and satellite equipment are managed through procurement, deployment, and disposition. The skills shall include hosting software on network servers, web services, beta testing of software upgrades, and knowledge to improve the IF/RCO network use and management requirements at Government leased or owned facilities in CONUS, OCONUS and IF/RCO locations stated in this task order, as well as existing PEO Missile and Space equipment located at the Huntsville distribution center. Responsibilities include: * Operate Help Desk Services which includes managing user accounts, answering user questions, performing user related database task and expertise on* IF/RCO business processes utilized in the COLTS database* Provide installation, operation, and maintenance repair support of uniquely configured, mobile, and stationary Government Furnished Satellite systems (ground stations), phones, and data ports for Constellation, Hughes, and Broadband Global Area Networks at IF/RCO OCONUS locations* Maintain assigned IT and satellite equipment through an established life cycle management program on a three (3) to five (5) year basis to accurately track and maintain the hardware and software assets to increase security, protect intellectual property, and mitigate the risk of obsolescence.* Ensure that the infrastructure and operations of IT and satellite equipment are managed through procurement, deployment, and disposition* procure and maintain IT equipment required to provide data processing and internet access for IF/RCO personnel to conduct IF/RCO mission operations at OCONUS Forward Operating Bases (Korea, India, Egypt, Iraq, Africa, and Syria) and Kuwait warehouse operations. T * Research and purchase commercial IT equipment through the Army?s designated primary source for commercial IT, Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software Solutions, and the DoD Enterprise Software Initiative to the maximum extent possible. Completing scheduled and unscheduled revision updates* Provide SME services for database management and database operations of the IF/RCO database that uses the Commercial off the Shelf Software Product. The current software utilized is COLTS.
