Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwidePurpose of the job:The primary purpose of the Operability Engineer is supporting the Management of External Interfaces in relation to ecosystem integration and infrastructure compatibility of our products (rolling stock) as contractual baseline with our customers. Operability requirements are functional and non-functional regarding infrastructure, operation and maintenance. The Operability analysis will be done from the perspective of the operator in respect to the train in its daily use.according to DITLOTT (Day in the Life of the Train)In detail the Operability engineer should be accountable for the following tasks:? Define and specify the usability, operability, handling, diagnostic and maintainability of our products (rolling stock) according to the requirements from infrastructure, maintenance and operation;? Develop operational scenarios and operability features based on platform definition according to VOBS (Vehicle Operability Breakdown Structure) for specific opportunities;? Identify and list the gaps between Platform solutions and customer required product in the bid phase as risk management (ROP)? Responsible for all Operability deliverables per phase in a specific project according to procedures/work instructions? Plan and support Vehicle Operability workshops (DITLOTT/DITLOAD workshop).? Develop the operability concept according to the Vehicle Operability Breakdown Structure (VOBS) for specific project? Lead the operability specification in close contact to the customer across the modules (e.g. DITLOTT workshops)? Elicit, verify, derive and allocate a set of requirements (Legislation / Project / Product) regarding operation, infrastructure and maintenance in line with the RM process? Allocate derived requirements and operational scenarios to 1P, 2F, 3A Building blocks? Ensure all operability requirements are verified and validatedKnowledge & Experience:Education? Engineering Degree or equivalent, Chartered EngineerRelevant experience required (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role)? Engineering Degree or equivalent, Chartered Engineer? Specialist with a minimum 2-5 years of experience in various projects in Railway Engineering? good experience in rail operation (operation, infrastructure or maintenance) or at least experiences in train functions, Human Factor or system engineering and RAMS (EN50126)?
