About us:The IHS Markit Financial Services business group deliver data, insight and software that combine our unparalleled expertise, unique content sets and leading technology to the benefit of our clients.You will be an instrumental member of our unique, people first culture, where your blend of collaboration, technical prowess, cross functional interactions, team mentorship, and overall problem solving will be relied upon to lead your teams towards continual improvement in automation engineering excellence.You?ll bring a combination of expertise in building cloud-based software products, experience working with US and Asia based companies as a geographically extended portion of the team and are skilled at driving high efficiency engineering teams using Agile methodology.You and your teams will own the technology evolution of the products you work on, partnering with business facing Product Owners across the firm.Your role:You will be a key member of one of the IHS Markit Financial Service (FS) teams in India reporting to your team leader.As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will participate in a fast-paced Agile development team, building SaaS financial web applications. Your main responsibilities will be to design, develop, and implement manual and automated tests for software solutions that scale across hundreds of servers as well as learn and leverage the current methodologies and technologies, including Scrum and BDD. This specific opportunity is with the Fixed Income team.Key responsibilities:

  • Creates and manages automated test cases using Specflow driving Selenium Webdriver and Nunit.
  • Develops and executes manual tests and test strategies.
  • Works with developers and product owners closely to review test coverage.
  • Able to quickly learn new technology and business areas and to apply these to new projects and products within the IHS Markit business/technology arena.

  • Proficiency in C# coding practices.
  • Ability to write SQL queries.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to advocate quality initiatives and best practices including test automation, Continuous Integration, and Sprint Doneness within an Agile Development environment.
  • Insight and working knowledge/experience of test design in both a manual and automated framework, such as Specflow, Selenium Webdriver, and Nunit.
  • Strong understanding of technologies and frameworks such as Visual Studio, XML, SOAP, and JSON.
  • BA or BS in Computer Science or related field strongly preferred but not required.
  • 8 or more years of software development and/or testing experience.
  • Experience with testing SaaS, Financial, web, or cloud applications.
  • Experience with Atlassian or similar toolsets on an Agile project is a plus.
