Be part of a winning team that leads the way in Enterprise Information Management.˙The Opportunity:Within the Opentext corporate environment, the Sr. Network Engineer will be a member of a greater network team responsible for the global enterprise network and all facets that make up a typical enterprise network environment.You are great at :The Sr. Network Engineer will be responsible for implementations and operational maintenance and support of various technologies and products as typical of an enterprise global environment; these technologies include but not limited to the following:

  • SDWAN
  • Switches
  • Firewalls
  • Site to Site VPN
  • Client VPN
  • Network Access Control
  • Wireless
  • Monitoring
The network engineer is expected to be responsive to direct assignments, monitoring alerts, automated tickets and escalations.What it takes:
  • Candidate must have at least 3 years? experience.
  • Candidate must have successfully completed a bachelor?s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computers Science or other related and relevant technology or networking field.
  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English for both written and verbal communications.
  • Candidate experience should have been broad and covering multiple disciplines within the security field.
  • Candidate is preferred to have worked within a global team in his prior role.
  • Candidate should be experienced in developing technical documentation with diagrams.
  • Candidate must possess working knowledge of the following items
  • General networking knowledge as relates to the OSI model with emphasis on the security layers and protocols relating to each.
  • Candidate should have knowledge of SNMP, Syslog, AAA, IP Super/sub netting, DHCP, NTP, QOS, and NetFlow as they relate to security enhancement and diagnostics.
  • Cisco routers, switches firewalls and wireless components and related security functions such as rule sets, access-lists, policy maps, route spoof detection, root bridging, ARP flooding, MAC spoofing detection.
  • Checkpoint firewalls and associated feature sets.
  • Fortinet firewalls and associated feature sets.
  • Palo Alto firewalls and associated feature sets.
  • Cisco AnyConnect VPN client setup and management.
  • Cisco ISE with understanding of certificate-based authentication, profiling and posturing.
  • Security layers/products as they tie into Cisco networking, voice and video components.
  • Candidate should be familiar with ITIL methodology and change management.
  • Candidate should exhibit ability to work independently, think and act responsibly and display good work ethics.
  • Candidate should be able to demonstrate organizational, communication and attention to detail skills
