Engineering Managers influence teams outside of their own organization and deliver results that move the needle at the organizational level and impact company-wide goals.You want to create a diverse team and maintain a positive culture that is focused on technical excellence, blending a variety of backgrounds and approaches, and meeting critical large scale project leadership across multiple teams. We have many talented and passionate engineers that are looking for a leader that enables them to do their best work and that will help grow them into the next set of senior engineers and leadership for our company. There will also be a great deal of cross functional partnership and leadership in helping our company deliver large, strategic initiatives that are key to our fan experience and growth.What will you be doing?* Be a subject matter expert in relevant technology and product domains* Lead and mentor engineers and tech leads* Lead the effort in developing and launching new products, as well as maintaining and improving existing products* Contribute technically to projects* Contribute to creating an excellent work environment and engineering culture* Contribute to building top quality engineering teams and technology practices* Drive requirements, design, build, test, deploy, support for software applications* Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Product Management and Business Stakeholders to implement technology solutions* Implement/Refine the processes needed to achieve and sustain operational excellence, including project delivery and systems reliability* You will be expected to work directly with PMs and designers to forge scalable solutions* You will independently find opportunities to build tooling to improve the lives of our engineers as well as users* Contribute to department OKRs and Engineering KPIs* Advocating for Continuous Integration & DeliveryWe are looking for someone who has/is?* Reliable, analytical, and organized communicator with strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills* Flexible, reliable, outgoing and a positive work attitude to work with globally dispersed teams* Good change management and leadership skills* A strong business acumen and ability to maintain budgetary control.* Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills* Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism in working collaboratively at all levels inside/outside the organization* High curiosity ? proactively seeking to learn more and ?connect the dots? for better solutions. Affinity toward technology as a customer experience enabler.* Bachelor?s degree and/or applicable experience in the information technology field* 10+ Years of experience in technology* 5+ Years of hands-on experience in programming languages and frameworks like Java, Kotlin, Go, Python.* 5+ years of experience working with SQL/NoSQL database management systems* 5+ years of experience implementing large-scale, high availability systems* 5+ years people-management experience preferably in distributed setting* Experience with Agile/Kanban methodologyBonus Points!* Experience working with AWS* Experience working with DevOps / Infrastructure tooling such as Terraform
