Segment : S&P Global Commodity InsightsThe Role: Software Developer II/ Senior Software Developer - IBM DatastageThe Team: The resource would be a part of the Machine-to-Machine technology team. He/She would be a part of the existing team supporting internal facing applications. Working very closely with the Product owner, this team is responsible to make major and minor enhancements.The Impact: This position directly interacts with the business team to understand their requirements and the added value to the business customers. The role provides exposure to the business and functional model of the company.   • Ideal candidates will have responsible for developing internal product tools using Datastage ,Sql/Plsql ,SQl Server ,shell scripting
  • The development environment is highly collaborative and involves working within a team of developers and QA on both individual and group projects.
  • Development experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS
  • The candidate must follow best practices for software development and has experience in building reusable and maintainable application code for future projects.
What we?re looking for:
  • 5-10 years of experienced and motivated ETL developer to work with Datastage and Oracle related tools in the design, development and implementation of both existing project enhancement and new products.
  • Candidates should have a wide knowledge and experience in IT system design/development and be competent in other technologies such as python, AWS, Shell scripting.
  • Design data integration/ETL jobs using IBM DataStage and its foundation tools
  • Deep understanding and hands-on in global exception handling.
  • Sound knowledge of Software Development Best practices
  • Strong knowledge on Oracle SQL is preferred.
  • Good Knowledge to handle IBM MQ Queue and Topics.
  • Deep knowledge on XML/JSON parsing and conversion utilities.
  • Good verbal communication to interact with business users and understand requirements.
  • Excellent documentation skills to prepare functional and technical write-ups.
  • High standards of confidentiality; ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and trust.
