Requisition Number: 217942External Description:Teradata is seeking a dedicated and experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our fast-paced and exciting team. This is a critical role that is primarily responsible for ensuring code releases meet all requirements and are entirely bug free.In your day-to-day activities you will collaborate with other technical staff to create and manage effective and reliable software testing procedures. • Design, implement and closely manage application and software testing processes
• Manage manual and automated testing and problem-solving techniques as an integrated part of our development process
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using a variety of technologies
• Ensure software deployments meet all pre-defined requirements and are entirely functional upon release
• Advise best practices and optimizations throughout testing and bug-fixing processes
• Collaborate with fellow software QA leads to develop test plans and new approaches for seeking out bugs and exploits in end-user-facing applications
• Work closely with developers and product owners to ensure timely resolution to all QA-related considerations and concerns
• Review business requirements and acceptance criteria to provide timely and meaningful feedback during the development life cycle
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities across multiple projects and scrum teams
• Identify, record, and document all QA and bug tracking activities
• Help train team members on QA processes and technologies
• Coordinate UAT activities with product owners and UAT testers as needed
• Track and report on multiple quality assurance metrics
• Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements in tools and process

Who You?ll Work With

• You will be working alongside a team of other QA engineers who partner with process owners, product owners and developers
• The ITP QA team works on multiple platforms to ensure quality throughout the ITP infrastructure
• The position reports to the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

• You will constantly be working with colleagues in different departments. It is imperative that you have excellent communication and people skills.
• You must have 5+ years of proven work experience in software quality assurance
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject, or equivalent work experienceÿ

• Knowledge and experience in agile testing methodologies,ÿSoftware Testing Life Cycle, Types of Testing and Bug Lifecycle.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Demonstrable hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Jira, Xray and the Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with ServiceNow is an extreme plus
