Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:As part of a multi-functional development team, major responsibility will include Project Management for the Temperature Control team.Lead medium to high complexity projects for Sustenance EngineeringCollaborate with extended team to facilitate execution and implementation of Revenue attainment (Obsolescence) and Quality projectsHandle technical execution on medium complexity projects independently and complex projects with mentorship.Mentor associates on core skills and standard processesSkills and Proficiencies:Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering and associated fundamentalsLeads project execution of multiple projects simultaneously with focus on quality of work.Ability to strategically collaborate with global multifunction team on essentials of execution.Ensures system level functionality, performance, safety and quality in line with the company product development process.Ensures that assigned projects are delivered on-time, to specification, and at or below target cost by elaborate engineering plans, including quality, cost, schedule, and risk assessment.Establishes cadence to documentation and standard works. Reports progress to line manager and multifunctional representatives periodically.Leads the existing products sustaining, and drives high priority issues to resolution, including long-term corrective and preventive action plans.Approaches problems in a rational manner and with best in class tools to ensure comprehensive understanding and effective resolutionHelps team to grow technical depth across product lines.Promotes an environment of learning, prioritizes technical training, addresses and fills technical gaps, and helps to buildup technical pipeline.Efficiently interfaces to sourcing, operations, quality, service and global R&D team, as well as external suppliers, vendors and customers.Perform cost benefit analysis and finalize annualized savings for given project. Familiar with VAVE fundamentalsWork with Regulatory Affairs team members to acquire the required product approvals such as, U.L., FDA, C.S.A. and European product certifications.Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 12 + years of proven ability with Project Management (Minimum 8 years of relevant experience)
  • PMP certification is helpful!
Demonstrated expertise to apply DFx (manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, safety, cost) knowledge to mechanical designs, expert knowledge in more than two of these specific areas: sheet metal, machining, plastic and die casting, well understanding of the related materials, processes and local supplier capability.Deep knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and experienced with tolerance analysis.Demonstrate ability to drive proven engineering solution to problems using necessary tools, utilizing deep understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Design of Experiment (DOE) and FMEA.Knowledge on Engineering systems, Engineering change processesMust have good interpersonal skills to work globally and across functionsEvident passion, adaptability, initiative, creativity, ownership, and problem-solving skills
