Requisition Number: 216881External Description:QA engineerJob Summary:QA Engineer will become a member of a key project in Teradatas Unity / Business Continuity Manager offering. This organization is responsible for working with the Teradata Dual Active leadership in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining database virtualization products for the Teradata Unity/BCM program. The successful candidate will work as a contributing member of the Teradatas Unity /BCM team. The QA engineer role includes Requirement analysis, design, develop and test and maintenance of new and existing features and all related technologies and required environments to ensure a successful product development lifecycle and delivery. This candidate, as time permits and as appropriate may also assist with product support. The engineer must be well versed in working in and contributing to a fully agile automated development and testing process. This is an individual contributor position reporting to an Engineering Manager.Qualifications:Graduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science with 2 to 5 years of working knowledge as Automation test engineer/ QA EngineerKnowledge on at least one cloud platform ? Azure / Google Cloud / AWSKnowledge on UNIX/Linux and at least one programming/scripting knowledge is MUSTTeradata Database and Client Utilities experience is a plusAbility to learn new technologies and tools quickly and to leverage that knowledge for results analysis and problem solvingAbility to communicate and collaborate with members of Test Engineering and Development groupsStrong grasp of testing processes where one is results oriented working within a collaborative teamRequired Skills:Develop fully automated tests to validate Unity/BCM product related components/functionsDevelop tests to reproduce and verify customer reported issues and fixesPerform customer-centric validation of TD database under stress, load and with focus on system level integrationAnalyse & report the defects/issues encountered during testingStrong Java programming skills.Aptitude for understanding complex software from the functional and technical perspective.Excellent problem-solving skills and strong debugging skills.Good Knowledge of testing process.Working Knowledge on SQL and database.Exposure to scripting skills.Open to learn and experiment new automation frameworks.Good knowledge on Linux platforms.Desired Skills:Knowledge on test automation tools like QTP.Working knowledge of CI/CD & CT process using Jenkins or similar tools.Shell scripting.ÿScope:Individual Contributor role closely working with team members, reports to Senior Engineering Manager.CountryEEOText_Description: Why We Think You?ll Love Teradata We prioritize a people-first culture because we know our people are at the very heart of our success.
