Now is your opportunity to take charge as a leader of highly skilled infrastructure teams at one of the worlds largest and most influential companies.As a Manager of Infrastructure Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the SPECIALTY PLATFORMS AND SERVICES team, you supervise team members while applying depth of knowledge within your specialization. Exercise independent judgement within defined parameters to solve problems and meet broad objectives.Job responsibilities

  • Manages a group of highly skilled technical individuals in our SRE team handling IBM AIX, IBMi (AS400) and HP Non-stop SRE Infrastructure
  • Demonstrates leadership of Operational and SRE Teams in a 24X7 support environment including all aspects of people management
  • Considers being the first point of escalation for business-critical incidents and be able to host/participate in bridge calls and communicate effectively to large group of individuals at all levels
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently with strong ownership & communication skills
  • Builds an innovative culture with passion
  • Achieves organizational goals by being able to work in large, collaborative teams
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on Infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Experience in operating and managing Infrastructure Operations teams.
  • Extensive knowledge in administering, troubleshooting & upgrading IBM AIX and Virtual I/O Severs (VIOS), GPFS Clusters, and related components.
  • Understanding of infrastructure architecture including distributed servers, storage, network, database, and application components.
  • Proven experience working with virtualized platforms including LPARs on the IBM P6 and P7 processor architectures.
  • Expertise in IBM Power HA/System Mirror/RSCT/Cluster technologies.
  • Expertise in IBM Spectrum Scale/GPFS Implementation and Administration
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Preferred to have a basic understanding of IBMi (AS400) and HP Non-stop environments.
  • Experience with continuous integration/development toolkits like GIT/Bit-bucket/Jenkins
  • Exposure/competence with Agile Development approach
  • Certifications such as ITIL, IBM AIX, training certifications in Netbackup, TSM or Tivoli Experience with any or all of the following tools and products: ESM, LDAP, Keon, Enterprise Password Vault (EPV), Essbase, Ab Initio, Informatica,TWS, and TSM Knowledge.
