We are hiring for the Role Title: Manager ? Fraud Risk Management, GSC?sGlobal Career Band: 6Location (Country / City ): HyderabadThe Opportunity:ÿThe role holder is part of the ASP Fraud Risk Offshore Centre of Excellence (CoE) and acting as the Fraud Risk Steward (Second Line of Defense) responsible for:ú Provide simple Risk Steward advisory SME services and , ensure compliance across ASP with the Fraud FIM.ú Assist the Fraud Manager to provide support to the onshore ASP Regional fraud team with the key activities including:ú Handle and answer simple enquires, referrals, and provide risk stewardship on fraud risk related mattersú Support Non Financial Risks and Controls (NFRO) management, e.g. Conduct Risk & Control Assessment, oversight of control management and continuous monitoring assuranceú Support ad-hoc tasks activities, e.g. communications, training, briefings, and support to thematic reviewsú Escalate materials issues to the onshore ASP Region fraud team for guidance and handling.What you?ll do:Principal Accountabilities:ÿ Key activities and decision making areasImpact on the Business/Functionú Provide advice on policy and oversee the 1st line of Defence is operating to the Group Fraud policiesú Provide guidance on Operational Risk and Control Taxonomy for the fraud risk areaú Support the review and tracking of Fraud policy deviations and dispensationsú Track the issues and actions managementú Develop MI for supporting the monitoring of the Risk Appetite Statementú Track fraud activities are being investigated and promote appropriate actions within the Bankú Working with the business to design the next generation end to end scam inbound/outbound payment monitoring/interdiction methods.Typical ÿKPIs&Targetsú Timely response to the 1stÿline of Defence on enquiries related to fraud policies and processes, and fraud risk controls.ú Ensure the issues and risks arising are promptly and effectively assessedú Work closely with risk functions, risk and control owners across business lines.ú Analyze fraud cases to review recommendations and monitor the implementation of the mitigating actionsú Ensure that risk appetite statement is observed by having clear oversight of fraud related risks.Major Challengesú Continuous understanding of the evolving fraud threat landscape faced by the risk owners in the region and its materiality to HSBC and the control environment.ú Ensure excellent Fraud Risk Stewardship with evidence of oversight and challenge of 1st line of Defence.ú Ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing critical priorities and demonstrating the ability to work independently.ú Proactive approach to nature of role and evolving fraud threats, making recommendations and escalating issues in a timely manner.ú Contribute to the ASP Fraud Risk COE team to provide quality and timely work.Role Contextú Play an integral interface with various Fraud Risk control owners and advisory teams e.g. Investigation teams, Compliance LoB Advisory Teams,ÿ etc.ú Researching new threats and internal/external solutions, engaging with Global / Regional /Country Fraud Risk team, and then influencing businesses to take appropriate action.ÿú Ensure fraud threats are escalated accurately and mitigated promptly.ú Systematic thematic review of the key controls for the prevention of unauthorised tradingObservation of Internal Controlsú Maintains an overview of HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points that relate to Fraud Risk Stewardship.ú Ensure 1stÿline of Defence follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.ÿ
