Manage and develop teams that maximize quality, efficiency, and productivity
Evaluate the database configuration and processes according to established policies and procedures of the organization
Ensure IT service levels by working with competencies and vendors to resolve day-to-day issues and ensure resolution through the appropriate channels. Participates in the root cause analysis of problems and appropriately communicates to ensure corrective actions are implemented
Manage the services by vendors to ensure they are delivering against Service Level Agreements.
Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
Establish performance standards, evaluate performance, train, and mentor team
Develop in policies and procedures and training materials
Make decisions and resolve issues regarding objectives and operations of the fleet assets in the database management area to meet business objectives
Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
Lead team to achieve objectives
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Database Management
Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Strong database working experience and knowledge on Oracle and SQL server technologies
Spearhead SOX audits to ensure audit compliance as per Dupont?s standards
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of Database Administration experience in Oracle and SQL
Awareness of Middleware technologies and Linux and Unix Operating Systems
2+ years of Leadership experience in managing DB and Middleware support teams
