Job Description

Enterprise Software Management (ESM) which is a sub group within GTI is actively seeking a Software asset management professional. The ESM team owns software asset management lifecycle within JPMC, including management of software request fulfillment processes, maintenance of vendors and products in the global software catalog, managing software license keys and media, and supporting licensing compliance activities against contractual obligations.Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a global ServiceNow ticket queue of software requests for users and systems Firm-wide to prescribed SLA?s
  • Oversee software licensing and inventory, which requires understanding of licensing terms from vendors including Microsoft, IBM, Symantec, Oracle, HP, Adobe as well as many others
  • Interface with customers and requesters to resolve license management, entitlement inquiries and software fulfillment issues
  • Ensure upstream and downstream system data is in line with the Software Catalog and governance standards (Data Quality)
  • Ensure distribution, return, transfer, accounting, etc. of software licenses are managed to contractual obligations, including reporting and conducting periodic review meetings with stakeholders
  • Assist in the development and execution of processes to support software compliance for regulatory, vendor audits, and internal auditing compliance efforts
  • Improve processes: ability to identify automation opportunities, articulate a plan, communicate concerns, build consensus and drive the automation effort to fruition
  • Manage projects: ability to handle and drive projects pertaining to business needs, carve work into workable sections, and enhance the delivery process
  • Compliance: Perform reconciliation of software entitlements owned by the firm to maintain compliant usage of software in the firm
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Bachelor?s Degree and/or Graduate Degree
  • A collaborative teamwork style with the ability to build effective relationships and partnerships both across the firm and with external vendors and service providers
  • 7+ years? experience working directly with customers and end-users supporting complex workflow operations
  • Experience working/managing a global request queue- Ability to break down complex tasks and explain solutions
  • Ability to engage with key stakeholders across teams to drive implementation of solutions
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and work in a changing environment
  • Proven track record working with remote teams- Detail-oriented and self-motivated person capable of delivering high-quality results when working with team around the globe or as an individual
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to produce useful reporting from spreadsheets containing thousands of rows of data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Genuine interest in continuous feedback, learning, and growth opportunities
Highly Desired Skills
  • Experience with enterprise-sized Software Asset Management operations
  • An understanding of generally accepted software licensing terms and practices
  • Knowledge of software usage metrics, licensing pooling, license harvesting, and software discovery practices
  • Basics on Cloud functionality and software license management in the environment
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Table reporting, conditional formatting, and VLOOKUP)
  • Experience identifying automation opportunities and driving them through to implementation
  • Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) certification (or similar certification)
