The Role: Business Analyst + Business Intelligence Developer (Report Writer)The Team: The selected candidate will be part of the S&P Global Technology?s Brokerage, Research, Sales & Trading team. We provide several sets of custom reporting solutions which help S&P?s clients to:

• Better leverage the data we provide
• Derive value from the customers own data by combining it with S&P Global? s

Communicate with other teams who are responsible for data from many products, as well as the reporting infrastructureOur team culture is oriented toward equality and promoting innovation. One should feel empowered to iterate over ideas and experiment without the fear of failure.The Impact: You will work with our global team of BRST and will primarily focus on creating reports and analyzing data consumed in our highly available applications.Your challenge will be reducing the ?time to market? for new reporting products without compromising quality, by using different datasets to bring out insights. Position Highlights

• Work with a variety of datasets
• Own end-to-end delivery of solutions for real-world application of S&P Global? s data
• Work directly with account managers & end-users
• Collaborating with Product Owners and Software Developers to develop solutions

Your role:

• Learn the business of our customer base, work with clients to gather requirements
• Implement tailor-made reporting solutions by constructing dataflows and layouts which automate the analysis and aggregation of data into highly polished views, ready for our customers to present in their external meetings
• Effectively communicate ideas, results, and technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.

What youll bring:

• Experience working with relational datasets (SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Ability to synthesize the requests of end-users into deliverable technical requirements and communicate to business stakeholders
• Ability to execute technical work to deliver on the requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to draw insights from data and build insightful reports
• Ability to think outside the box to propose and deliver compelling solutions for our users

Preferred skills:

• Experience working independently in a virtual setting with globally distributed teams
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, or Tableau Reports or similar
• Experience with VB.NET (or at least one object-oriented programming language e.g. C#, Python, etc.)
• Experience with Git or similar source control repositories
