Job Description

AU is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated candidate to join its growing team in the Facilities & Projects Department in the level of Supervisor. The successful candidate shall provide support to the Facilities Manager in the daily operation of the Facilities.Under broad supervision, responsible for assigning daily tasks to the facilities technicians as per work order and supervise their work to ensure task completion within agreed timeframe. Responsible for the local purchasing of facilities maintenance items, when required.Job Responsibilities(includes but not limited to):

  • Plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the department.
  • Undertakes special projects to meet the objectives of the department.
  • Supervise and direct the work activities of the facilities technicians on day-to-day building maintenance operations including minor alterations work and repair of AU assets and assist them when required.
  • Ensure all essential, critical and fast going items required for repair and maintenance purposes are available in storage at all times.
  • Ensure all AU facilities are maintained at all times by scheduling site visits and conducting regular inspection.
  • Responsible for timely purchasing of needed materials, using department budget & petty cash, once all the sources for the purchasing are accomplished.
  • Responsible for obtaining quotations/ samples for materials and furniture needed.
  • Coordinate with Contractors in order to be available on site and supervise their scheduled work.
  • Ensure attending to all emergency calls in a timely manner with the responsible technician and/or maintenance contractors.
