Oversees the completion and documentation of maintenance work orders by staff; guides and assists staff as necessary with complex tasks, and performs quality inspections of work as appropriate.
Supervises personnel which typically include recommendations for hiring, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution.
Monitors and coordinates maintenance and repair of all building electrical facilities and systems, heating, ventilation, and cooling systems, boilers, and plumbing systems; performs mid-level technical maintenance and repair tasks as appropriate.
Investigates and troubleshoots problems with facilities systems across the hospital, and coordinates problem resolution as appropriate.
Troubleshoots and resolves or oversees resolution of routine maintenance problems, such as structural problems, cabinet repair, or basic mechanical or other equipment malfunctions.
Oversees and coordinates routine facilities maintenance activities for the hospital; may perform routine maintenance tasks, as required
Monitors, operates, and troubleshoots the digital HVAC control system for the hospital; participates in the development and operation of a computerized maintenance management system.
As appropriate, contacts and coordinates external service agencies to schedule repair work and ensure timely and effective work order completion.
Ensures adequate stocks and serviceability of necessary maintenance supplies and equipment; purchases materials, supplies, and/or equipment as appropriate.
Keepaccuraterecordsregarding preventativemaintenance, servicerequests, renovations, inspections, inventories, and purchases.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Responsible for completing various maintenance works in accordance with the make-ready schedule. Prioritize service requests.
Establishes daily work schedules for the maintenance staff. Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies. Makes regular inspections of the building and all the equipment?s.
Trains subordinate or new maintenance staff members. Establishes preventative maintenance schedules.
Provides a role model for the maintenance staff by following all the hospital?s procedures and presenting an appearance appropriate to the image of the hospital.
Participates and/or supervises in all maintenance projects.
Keepaccuraterecordsregarding preventativemaintenance, servicerequests, renovations, inspections, inventories, and purchases.
Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment based on the manufacturers? recommendations and operating manuals.
Co-ordinates with the Purchasing Supervisor to buy good quality materials and stocks the store adequately.
Responsible to attend any off duty calls as per the requirements & Hospital policy.
Ensures safety standards (occupational and patient safety) are complied.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Direct Reporting Authority.
