Job Description

A Jr. Graphic Designer that?is capable of using?the Adobe Creative CC Suite effectively. the candidate must be able to take on responsibilities and have the qualities to perform without extensive guidance. Must also be keen, quick learning and creative individual with some knowledge in environmental graphics, signage & wayfinding, branding, preparation of presentations, and other aspects of graphic design.?

1. Signage & Wayfinding Design, Strategy, Development - producing signage concepts/designs in 2D/3D that reflect the buildings architectural/interior design scheme?and being able to strategize where the signs should be placed within the building. Knowledge in the various types of signs required for all types of buildings (commercial - governmental - mixed-use).?Liaising with other disciplines, manufacturers/supplier and ensuring coordination between all disciplines/suppliers is appropriate to the project.??
2. Environmental Graphics - designing graphics to be placed in any given environment and taking note of the various application methods required for each location (glass, wall, floor, road, etc.)?
3. Branding & Corporate Design & Development - capability of designing brand elements such as logos, stationery items, packaging, etc. As well as assisting the in-house brand development.?
4. Merchandising Design and Coordination - ability to design various types of merchandise either for internal purposes or external. Liaising with other disciplines, manufacturers/supplier and ensuring coordination between all is seamless. Ensuring the quality of materials/finishes procured is of the highest standard.?
5. Product Design - designing products that may be used internally/externally using quality finishes and hi-tech methodologies.?
6. Illustrations & Digital Painting - ability to be able to prepare illustrations for various purposes such as pictograms, illustrative interpretations of architecture, diagrammatic infographics, etc. An understanding of digital painting and how to use it in an architectural/interior setting.?
7. Logo Design & Development (English/Arabic)?- capability of designing logos in various forms and developing it further into a strong brand element.?
8. Designing Typefaces (English/Arabic) - produce custom typefaces for special events/graphic campaigns.?
9. Layout/Poster Design - ability to design posters and?have an understanding of?grid structure and layout variations. Knowledge in hierarchy between type and graphic elements.?
10. Book design - design books that can be sent for offset printing and coordination with printing presses. An understanding of how books are designed, page layouts for various booking binding methods (saddle stitch, perfect binding, etc.)?
11. Enforcing and Creating Corporate Brand Standards and Templates - ensuring staff are using the corporate templates accurately and are depicting the pace brand in the highest graphic/visual?standard. Ability to use the design software to create templates that include character styles, paragraph styles, table styles, object styles, etc. and issue?it?company wide?for all to use.?
12. Interactive Presentations - produce interactive presentations using animation software such as?AfterEffects?where elements on the page are in motion.?
13. Video Editing and Graphical Animations - ability to edit videos and animations in a professional manor to ensure the?end product?is acceptable. Ability to stitch together various videos or animation scenes.?
14. Basic 3D Modelling - an understanding of the 3D forms and how to model them.?
15. Basic 3D Rendering/Photography?Post Production?- an understanding of how rendering engines work and how to best use this to produce a good quality rendered image of our graphic designs, signage, product designs, etc.?
16. Coordination with all departments - ability to coordinate with various professionals within the industry and ensuring the coordination of the design is appropriate to the project.?
17. Coordination with printing press - ability to coordinate with the printing press and have an extensive knowledge on how printing presses work, offset printing, digital printing,?post production?techniques, etc.?
