Job Description

Our client is seeking a Director of Strategy & Planning with at least 7 years? experience in a strategy role. The ideal candidate would be someone who has worked for a management consultancy, advisory or Big 4, however this is not essential, they will consider someone from a large group entity. You must be prepared to relocate to Fujairah.Description:

  • Work with senior management in forming strategy, then focus on plans to implement the strategy
  • Lead development of the strategic plan/framework and ensure the vision holder directions are reflected in implementable strategies by breaking ideas to action plans
  • Stay on top of trends in international development and impact measurement by obtaining and evaluating information about industry and market trends, competitive threats, and possible business opportunities
  • Work with CFO to lead on developing the approach and execution of fact packs and return on investment analysis
  • Work closely with execution team (GMs & Managers) to determine businesses? direction by focusing on setting medium and long-term goals
  • Work with PMOs to ensure that the implementation of plans are on track and deadlines are met
  • Draft strategy papers and presentations to be made to the board or other key stakeholders
  • Visualise data into easy-to-read graphs and create slides that tell a story to enable efficient executive of strategic plans
  • Ensure leadership uses data to inform decision making
  • Coordinate communications team, develop simple, engaging messaging and smart cascading to ensure employees know their part of our client?s strategy
  • Facilitate the Strategy Committee by delivering the Vision Holder expectations and decisions (like entering new markets, developing products, or stopping production of existing products)
  • Act as a communication channel between the Vision Holder and execution team (GMs & Managers)
  • Lead discussions and contribute insights derived from analysis of the industry and competitors
  • Act as a consultant, engage in feasibility studies, and provide strategic advice to the business units
