Contribute to the development and integration of Vulnerability and Assessment Mapping (VAM) projects and activities, plans and processes, ensuring alignment with wider WFP policies and guidance, and in coordination with different WFP units and programmes.
Support the development of food and nutrition security and vulnerability analysis under different WFP programmes, including the preparation, review/updating of tools, and producingtimely reports on food and nutrition assessment needs, and nutrition, in line with wider VAM policies, processes and guidance to enable effective decision-making on the development of country strategy, policies and programmes.
Follow data gathering, analysis, reporting and monitoring systems ensuring that rigorous quality standards are maintained.
Work in coordination with programme units to research and analyse policy and operational food security and nutrition issues to support the development of policies, programmes and activities
Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely policy reports and briefs, reporting on programmes and activities, in coordination with concerned partners/stakeholders that enable informed decision making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
Liaise with implementing partners (internal and external) to monitor ongoing projects, ensuring effective collaboration, timeliness and efficiency and highlight potential risks to project delivery.
Provide support to relevant partners that are focusing on food security and nutrition issues to enable sharing of experience, lessons learned and best practice.
Guide and supervise more junior staff, acting as a point of referral and supporting them with analysis and queries.
Act in an assigned emergency response capacity as required to meet emergency food assistance needs.
