Job Description

DescriptionSoftware Engineer Seniorto work in Alexandria, VA:Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop business application software components as assigned through JIRA or Service Now.
  • Analyze system architecture, design and coding of modules.
  • Develop and maintain scripts. Design and implement fixes.
  • Provide technical consultation with architecture and code review team.
  • Test developed software in a variety of circumstances to test its performance.
  • Review and analyze security audit findings.
  • Identify appropriate issues, design, develop, implement and test corrections across non-production environments.
  • Review TIS ticket queue for newly opened tickets and to determine the nature of the problem.
  • Review assigned TIS tickets and resolve any outstanding application design, code or environment issues.
  • Generate documentation to support the TIS approved release process.
  • Develop, troubleshoot and implement databases for assigned projects.
  • Assist all development teams on compliance issues and resolutions.
  • Participate in daily scrum standup meetings in order to provide software application development updates.
QualificationsRequires a Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Science and Engineering (or equivalent based on evaluation of academic credentials, training and/or experience) as well as twenty-four (24) months in job or job related experience to include duties listed above.
