Job Description

To enhance plant asset performance and availability by implementing mechanical maintenance strategies, plans, policies, standards, and procedures.Role and Responsibilities

• Implement mechanical maintenance strategies, plans, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Direct the proper identification of the resources needed to support planned level of maintenance services.
• Oversee the mechanical maintenance and repair of plant assets and systems ensuring that overhauls, preventative maintenance, and repair are done in a cost-effective manner.
• Oversee the proper management of maintenance data and information collection to effectively provide planned maintenance services.
• Lead maintenance scheduling related research and maintenance analysis.
• Plan programmed maintenance tasks in accordance with asset and resource management strategy including record keeping.
• Participate in the preparation and administration of the asset maintenance program and budget.
• Prepare budget recommendations for mechanical maintenance activities.
• Follow up documentation as well as completed activities, daily records, and logbooks.
• Ensure safety, accident & housekeeping preventions implemented well in the workplace.
• Ensure the implementation of all government regulations and requirements.
• Periodic supervision of the implementation of all administrative and technical instructions for maintenance processes in all branches.
• Direct and supervise the implementation of the maintenance plans required for all vehicles of the company in a manner that does not contradict with the vehicle operation plans, as it maintains minimum sudden vehicle breakdowns.
• Prepare a monthly analysis of all vehicle on road malfunctions presented for the Assistant Director / General Manager and submit the monthly report pointing out the strength and weak points of maintenance process, items to be stressed upon regarding malfunction issues.
• Prepare of a semi-annual report for the motor vehicle rehabilitation plan and submit in advance the implementation of the approval of the Director-General.
• Commit to balancing the monthly car expenses and approving any extra-budgetary expenses from the Director / General prior to implementation By presenting an explanatory note on the reasons and the time spent on the reform and the expected cost And reformers.
• Periodic examination and evaluation of all sudden vehicle breakdowns, deviations of spare parts change and reasons for variation between car types and to identify the reasons and announcement (technical error - misuse - bad material ... etc.).
• Periodic review of all items of car maintenance expenses and work to reduce costs.
• Organize training courses for drivers in coordination with the personnel and operational affairs departments, provided that this is repeated so as to Ensure that drivers understand the quality of vehicles, vehicle malfunctions and driver skills development Economies and optimum methods for evaluating the performance of engines, brakes, circuits and diesel ...
• A periodic evaluation of all suppliers and external repair workshops (Machining ? Injection system workshops ....) Through the results of the reform and their cost.
• Periodic follow-up of stock of spare parts and permanent attempt to benefit from priests who need to be reformed And review the spare parts store before issuing new purchase orders for it.
• Follow up for performing same maintenance process done inside the agency workshop regarding the mentioned aspects (Elec., Mech., A/C, and units repair) with same quality and less time consumed. Concentrated supervision on final inspection to ensure good repair quality with minimal redo job.
• Providing alternatives for original spare parts as much as possible with same quality and less price to achieve best money value regarding quality repair, no redo job, along with repair cost reduction.
• Performing a whole monitor classification pointing out the current technical case situation for the whole vehicle population to arrange the required maintenance plan to be presented to the top management along with the expected financial plan to achieve it pointing out priority, timing, cost and time required regarding the whole vehicle population of the company.
• Periodic specialized training for technical personnel to improve & upgrade their diagnosis skills to ensure less time consumed during repair process. In addition to periodic assessment to upgrade their levels. Training involves the best usage of vehicle brands to fulfill the best results possible.
• Basic training and assessment for non-technical personnel to ensure accurate follow up for periodic maintenance process especially for the fast-moving item parts that require millage follow up rather than technical inspection.
• Participating in the analysis required for the process of replacing and renewing the company vehicle population along with performing the aftersales operation research required involved in the selection of the brand to be purchased.
