Job Description

We are seeking skilled Service Delivery Engineer to lead the Database practice specialized in AWS. As an experienced SDE you will be responsible for implementing and delivering cloud solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for translating the requirements, as defined in the Statement of Work, into a functioning solutionRequirements:

  • Assist in the design, configuration, implementation, and support of database solutions on AWS
  • Providing Level 2 and Level 3 support on database related operational and configuration issues
  • Develop, define, and maintain standards and supporting documentation while adhering to best practices
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with other Zero&One and client team members when required
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent judgement, and possess a passion for continuous learning
  • Deliver innovative solutions in diverse environment with shifting priorities, wearing many hats all while driving projects and tasks to completion
  • Transition existing workloads to the cloud where possible
  • Research emerging technologies and concepts and make recommendations
?What We Need From You
  • At least 7+ years of experience in designing designing and maintaining databases (relational and non-relational)
  • Experience of relational database operations (locking, consistency, serialization, recovery paths etc?)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as shell/python and procedural language such as PL/SQL, T-SQL etc?)
  • Experience with database migrations from on-prem to the cloud (homogenous and heterogeneous)
  • Familiarity with database migration and management tools e.g. schema conversion tool (SCT), database migration service (DMS)
  • Experience working with MySQL, Postgres, SQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, Aurora DBs
  • Required certifications: AWS Database Specialty
  • Desirable certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Oracle DBA, SQL DBA
