Job Description

he Project ManagerWe are seeking to appoint a dynamic and strategic Project Manager for Universal American School - Cairo. You will play a pivotal role in the operational pre-opening planning, ensuring the establishment of a premium, world-class American curriculum school in Cairo Festival City, Egypt.The Project Manager will oversee all non-educational, operational pre-opening planning. Working under the direction of the Universal American School Cluster Lead, and with support from Al-Futtaim Education Foundation department heads and relevant Al-Futtaim Group divisions, you will be instrumental in aligning the project with the Al-Futtaim Education Foundations strategic roadmap.Key Responsibilities of the roleProject Control

  • Support the Chief Operations Officer and Cluster Lead by delivering accurate program reporting throughout the project duration.
  • Prepare progress reports on the project for the Al-Futtaim Education Foundation Management team as required.
  • Monitor budgeted project expenditures and cash flow projections, reporting actuals and variances to the Chief Financial Officer regularly.
  • Ensure all financial records for the project are up to date.
  • Manage risks, plan contingencies, and establish transparent communication processes to escalate, manage, and resolve issues.
  • Identify and manage internal dependencies across Al-Futtaim Group functions and with external suppliers and regulators, as needed.
Project Implementation:
  • Execute the project according to the project plan.
  • Develop forms and records to document project activities.
  • Ensure all project information is appropriately managed and documented in accordance with policy.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure on-time completion.
  • Regularly update stakeholders within the organization on project progress.
  • Review the quality of work completed with the project team regularly to ensure it meets project standards.
Project Evaluation:
  • Ensure project deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet required quality standards.
  • Evaluate project outcomes as established during the planning phase.
  • Support the Chief Operations Officer and Cluster Lead in identifying areas for project process improvement.
  • Assist in implementing project management best practices where required.
