Sector/Organization Overview We are HEMAR & P (Health Economics, Market Access, Reimbursement and Pricing) team of Janssen GCC (Pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson) in the Gulf Corporation Council countries including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. We collaborate cross-functionally to drive the organizations access agenda and ensure patients access to Janssens innovative therapies. Summary of the job: This is a strategic and exciting role within Janssen GCC region that will be responsible for running the establishment, execution, and monitoring of the pricing strategy for some key companys therapeutic areas (TAs). He / She / They will work closely with different functions in Janssen GCC & regional teams in EMEA & EMEA Emerging Markets to develop optimum pricing strategies that will ensure access of Janssen innovation to patients while reflecting the brands value. Provide strong insights and clear recommendations on pricing trends and assumptions across Janssen portfolio in the TAs of responsibility for key business planning processes: Yearly Business Plans, Mid-term and long-range financial plans. Support in driving different internal pricing committees in GCC to ensure proper pricing governance and execution of list & net pricing strategies in accordance with EMEA EM pricing & tender policies. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Pricing leadership: Work cross-functionally to drive pricing strategy at level of list and net prices for Janssen in line brands and new launches to improve patients access across brand life cycle. Support innovative pricing & contracting initiatives that substantiate access of Janssen innovation to patients while reflecting the brands value. Develop and apply models to conduct quantitative analysis of price impacts (e.g., develop estimations of future price movements, develop and support pricing models and data reports, inform relevant collaborators about financial impact of price changes, price corridors and price evolution). Provide strong insights and clear recommendations on pricing assumptions across Janssen portfolio for key business planning processes: Business Plans & Mid-term plans. Coordinate flow of price information and approvals across the GCC organization (e.g., own the development, approval, and documentation of price business cases). Liaise with EMEA, Emerging markets & global market access & pricing teams on the development of local pricing & access strategies and recommendations. Provide periodical horizon scanning reports on pricing regulations and its impact on Janssen GCC business and provide short and long-term recommendations to the HEMAR function, by deep understanding of the current and future pricing environment and translate their impact on the pricing and access strategies. Pricing governance and compliance: Support in driving different local OpCo (Operating Company) pricing & compensation committees in GCC as a platform for reviewing and aligning on list & net pricing strategies with sound knowledge and implementation of healthcare compliance rules. Ensure Updates of pricing system databases (e.g., regional pricing hub) with pricing information and certificates. Development of Pricing and Reimbursement strategy: Provide insights for the development of robust P&R strategies in collaboration with the CVTs (Country Value Teams) and HEMAR. Regular review and where vital update of pricing strategies as a result of policy changes and competitor insights. Work cross-functionally to gain key insights to support strategy development and future activities. Partnership working: Support Head of department in pricing negotiations with Health Authorities across GCC countries. Provide insights to support HEMAR teams negotiations with reimbursement bodies. Connect with key internal and external stakeholders in the pricing communities and ensure having accurate market intelligence process in place that will entail future strategies and identify future opportunities. Qualifications Education: Relevant university degree in life sciences, economics or similar field is required; an advanced degree desirable (e.g., MBA, MS/MA in economics). Experience and Skills: Required: Proven 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry Preferred: Past experience of at least 2 years in pricing or market access is preferable Experience and knowledge of the GCC region is preferable Experience with Janssen therapeutic areas is a plus Other: Language: proficiency in English (spoken and written) Strong quantitative skills with proven strategic insights. Shown excellent numeric and analytical skills. Advanced level in Excel as well as PowerPoint, Word & Outlook Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels with an ability to verbalize and write clearly and effectively. Demonstrable ability to communicate technical concepts and approaches to non-technical collaborators Project management experience and ability to meet tight deadlines and comprehend complex issues in a timely and accurate manner with strong attention to detail Financial analysis skills is a plus Ability to make decisions in volatile and uncertain environment Knowledge of GCC healthcare environment is desirable Strategic mentality with the ability to visualize and pre-empt future trends Creative approach, can-do attitude, and hands-on problem-solving skills, while able to think strategically Strong standout colleague who works optimally in cross-functional teams Flexibility to complete at an operational and strategic level, with a real focus on implementing solutions and showing value, translating theory into practice and action into results Location: Egypt or Turkey Johnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
