Our focus on sustainability makes sure that the way we produce and use these foods today means a plentiful future of generations to come.Our evidence-based solutions range in scale from households to global policies and spans across six interlinked themes: nutrition, gender, climate, sustainability, economy and COVID-19.We champion aquatic foods for healthy people and planet and believe that a sustainable blue planet of well-nourished children, women and men is within our reach.Position Background The Research Intern will support high quality research on Integrated Farming Agriculture-Aquaculture aimed to improving farms performance and profitability. The scope of work will participate in research planning and implementation, data collection, coordinate focus group discussion, analyzing qualitative datasets collected from the field. He will provide support to study lead in writing research findings.The Research Intern will also be involved in field activities as well as other administrative tasks around the office and the research station farm and hatchery. Activities will therefore span from data collection, record keeping, broodstock management and feeding, fingerling production and overall field and on-station research sampling support.Scope of Work (This section should contain MAIN responsibilities, deliverables and tasks)

  • Under the supervision of Scientist and guidance of Research Assistant. The Research Intern will work with the Pond workers to execute day-to-day pond and broodstock management activities.
  • Manage experiments through established WorldFish protocols and ethics for fish experiments
  • Provide technical support to fish farmers and entrepreneur.
  • Do field survey studies and on farm demonstration plots.
  • Assist project management team in day-to-day project activities.
  • Participating in day-to-day collection of all relevant research and production data and provide weekly reports.
  • Assist in preparation of presentations
  • Assist in preparation of seminars and workshops
  • Any other related work requested by project management
