Distributions Operations Manager - Logistics - EgyptApply now Job no: 569264Location: EgyptEgypt Head OfficeLogisticsThe Corporate Logistics Team plan, move and control the flow of goods from point of origin to point of consumption across all divisions, markets and brands within Alshaya. Working closely with brand teams to ensure appropriate stock and delivery to store, the team manages a range of complex and diverse activities including shipping, freight, warehouse operations, customs clearance (in-bound and out-bound), compliance and project management.The Role:As Distributions Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the distribution centers and shipping departments within a specified region, and will work closely with merchandisers and regional development managers to ensure stock is managed and moved as required.You will lead a large team by setting direction, monitoring and motivating individuals to exceed objectives whilst ensuring that security, inventory management and safety standards are maintained. You will drive continuous improvement in productivity and operating costs.Qualifications & Requirements:You will have:- At least 8 years experience in a senior logistics position.- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management.- Graduate qualification in Logistics.- The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader and people manager with the ability to motivate and drive performance.
