  • The ability to communicate effectively with Construction Contractors, owners, owner?s representatives in a construction phase site to effectively ensure Four Seasons Product during construction.
  • The ability to understand and submit change order requests without compromising Four Seasons Contractual agreements.
  • The ability to foresee Mechanical concerns that may arise as a result of construction phase equipment purchases and or installations.
  • The ability to ensure Life, Fire, Safety equipment and installations are up to standard and feasibility studies during the construction phase for early detection change orders implementation.
  • Experienced in construction phase area to secure retrieval, and filing of construction documents, permits, licensing, feasibility studies, manuals, mechanical, electrical, wiring diagrams, hydraulics, blueprint updates, and testing and storage of necessary equipment and material pars, etc.
  • The ability to hire, train, and inspire a passion for product and service excellence to new as well as existing Hotel Engineers and Security Managers.

  • The ability to hire, train, motivate, supervise, schedule, positively discipline and plan the work product of base hotel/resort engineering and security departments team members.
  • The ability to complete, evaluate and follow-up on employee performance reviews and six month?s progress reports on a timely basis for base hotel/resort with follow-up support for region hotel/resorts.
  • The ability to ensure that effective and concise Preventive Maintenance schedules, Perfect Rooms Program and Life, Fire, Safety procedures are followed both at base hotel and those within region.
  • The ability to plan and implement procedures, systems and controls to ensure an efficient, timely and pro-active Engineering and Security Region.
  • The ability to establish 5 Year Plan and Department Operating Budget for submission to management covering costs of heat, light & power and maintenance & repairs and provide support to hotels and resort in region for same.
  • The ability to communicate maintenance information accurately and effectively to the Senior Management/Department Heads on a daily basis at base hotel and to and region hotels/resorts.
  • The ability to prepare an annual, itemized, Capital Budget to Senior Management, including all changes and replacements of mechanical equipment required by all departments and assistance and support for those hotel/resorts within region.
  • The ability to develop and update comprehensive departmental polices, procedures and manuals for both departments and on a region-wide basis to ensure a consistent work product within the region.
  • The ability to maintain all the Life, Fire, Safety equipment in first class order. Ensure that the life-fire-safety crew has a complete understanding of all procedures, equipment and alarms, and are trained in Emergency Crises Response to include CPR.
  • The ability to establish good working relationships with contractors, vendors and community personnel who will furnish reliable 24-hour emergency service.
  • The ability to compile a monthly consumption report on heat, light and power to include electricity, gas, steam and water and train those within region to do the same.
  • The ability to ensure all engineering team members under the direction of the Regional Director of Engineering are exposed to hotel internal and external training on an on-going basis.
  • The ability to ensure effective inter-departmental communication and good relations with members of fellow departments within the region.
  • The ability to prepare and follow through on any projects as outlined by General Manager, Resort Manager and/or RVP.
  • The ability to ensure all public areas are patrolled daily and all lighting is in good order.
  • The ability to ensure all team members are in complete uniform and well groomed.
  • The ability to ensure timely completion of all assigned responsibilities.
  • The ability to develop and maintain an energy conservation program allowing the hotel and those within region to meet annual budget targets.
  • The ability to prepare purchase requisitions and work orders as well as liaise efficiently with the Director of Purchasing on such matters.
  • Establish where possible collective purchasing power by sharing vendors throughout hotels within region for effective cost reduction.
  • The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels and encourage staff to do the same.
  • The ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed.
  • The ability to ensure a clean, neat and organized work area.
  • The ability to attend and participate in all required meetings.
  • The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • Role model the 10/5 Rule at all times.
