• Working as finance interface for M&S, ensuring plans, actual reporting and variance analysis are robust and complete
• Working with M&S to categorize spend types and ensure that spending plans map to business objectives
• Develop return on investment metrics to measure the success of categorization and resource allocation
• Drilling down into business performance by area, channel, SKU, investment type, and identify trends, opportunities and risks
• Support M&S and FD with ad-hoc planning related to any new project or proposal

What will you do - responsibilities:

• Finance lead for all M&S planning and reporting activities. Support the M&S function in building accurate and realistic plans on time and with high quality. Develop reporting analysis to present both plans and actual performance in a simple and effective way, allowing all stakeholders to clearly understand what is being presented. Ensure variance analysis is produced on a timely basis with high-quality narrative
• Work with M&S to categorize spend type depending on nature, and analyze plans and actual performance according to this categorization. Develop reporting tools to assess how the plans and performance of the budgets are mapping to overall business objectives and use return on investment style metrics to allow ranking and prioritization of planned expenditure
• Drill down into results using M&S and financial tools to give greater insight into business performance by area, channel, SKU, investment type. Develop clear reporting and analysis to inform the business of overall performance, trends, opportunities, risks and benchmarking and use this to drive best practice sharing and optimal resource allocation decisions
• Support the Finance Director and other stakeholders with all ad-hoc modelling and scenario planning requests. Ensure results are high quality and presented in a logical manner to allow fast decision making. Where appropriate, highlight other opportunities and risks not seen in the modelling requested
• Build an open and transparent relationship with M&S functions, establishing the position as a key partner in all M&S discussions and decisions and ensuring the functions understand the role of commercial finance within the organization. Develop the financial knowledge of the M&S functions through day-to-day interactions, presentations and trainings as appropriate

Who are we looking for - requirements:

• You are graduated in any finance-related subject or MBA; accounting or financial modelling/mathematics qualifications are highly desired
• You have at least 5 years of experience in Egypt in financial planning and analysis /commercial finance, with specific exposure to M&S functions and the FMCG environment
• Proven communication and self-starter skills
• English fluency, Arabic fluency. Advanced Excel and Thinkcell skills. Exposure to TM1 or other planning systems, and Microsoft Dynamics, highly desired
