Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineerto supportour DHS client.The ideal candidateshall have experience in cloud architecture/deployments and workload migration to cloud. Shall act as cloud point of contactto advance the customers capabilities to deliver secure, compliant, and robust cloud architectures for hosting enterprise workloads.Responsibilities:

  • Design AWS solutions for enterprise business requirements.
  • Automate provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure to support the development organizations.
  • Develop Secure, Highly Available, cost efficient Cloud Native Architectures for modernizing existing workloads.
  • Develop and manage cloud security governance based on Government requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop and manage policies to enforce minimum privileges to meet the business requirements
  • Support major/minor release deployments
  • Evaluate existing security process, procedures, controls and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support Zero Trust architectures
  • Support Information Systems Security programs by implementing cloud strategies and solution architectures to accomplish objectives.
  • Identify and adopt best practices, architectural solution patterns, new technologies to address current and future business needs, enhance security, and to optimize cost.
  • Support DevSecOps practices and managing CI/CD pipelines
QualificationsRequirements:
  • BS in computer science or related field and 5 years experience (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS public trust
  • Understanding of and experiencewith AWS, IaaS, PaaS, and databases
  • Hands on demonstrable experience in designing and deploying cloud solutions
  • Hands-on experience with a diverse set of Amazon Web Services (compute, storage, network, security, administration, automation, application services, databases).
  • Operating Systems experience with various Linux distributions
  • Hands-on Experience with SQL and databases
  • Hands-on Experience migrating both custom built and enterprise apps to AWS.
  • Experience in one of the following areas:Incident Response, Logging and Monitoring, Security, Identity and Access Management, and Data Protection.
  • Experience in debugging performance and technical issues
  • Team player and have the ability to collaborate with various enterprise teams (application, networking, security) to develop solutions and resolve issues
  • Excellent verbal/written communications and the ability to work well independently and in a team environment
Desired:
  • Strong experience in building and deploying systems on the Cloud, using CI/CD frameworks and Infrastructure automation.
  • Serve as AWS evangelist and help educating development teams on cloud Services
  • DevSecOps Experience on AWS platform
  • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect / DevOps)
