Salary:26,3 41 to 29,614 per annum together with NEST Pension benefits, if required. The normal expectation is that the successful applicant will be appointed to the minimum of the scale with annual increments on 1 August each year (subject to completing six months service).Hours of work:35 Hours per weekContract:PermanentLocation:Swansea Bay Sports Park This role will support the continued development of an outstanding performance sport environment, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, focusing in particular on:Scholarships and RecruitmentTo advance our recruitment of student-athletes and enhance the associated scholarship provision for students competing at an international or high performance level in their sport. This will include: * The development and implementation of our sport scholarship programme, working collaboratively with colleagues in Marketing, Recruitment and International (MRI) to pursue opportunities for growth.* The recruitment of student-athletes, both national and international, and building the profile of the University in this area, working proactively and in conjunction with Performance Heads, Admissions and academic Colleges.* The development and implementation of a marketing and promotion plan to support recruitment activity and promote the performance sport programme to prospects.* To build a network of key partnerships across schools, colleges, sports clubs and key stakeholders locally and across the UK.Performance Lifestyle and Well-beingTo design and provide performance lifestyle services to athletes and lead the development of the performance lifestyle programme, supporting high performance and student performance sport teams and athletes and promoting well-being across the student performance sport environment. This role will involve working closely with the recruitment team, coaches, performance practitioners and external bodies (TASS, NGBs, Professional Sport Clubs, and Sport Wales). The role collaborates across the University, the sport department and high performance sport networks to ensure that the best model of support, education and guidance is available in support of an outstanding student-athlete experience, including fulfilling the role of Dual Career coordinator. In addition, and dependent upon qualifications and experience, you will have the opportunity to support our professional development portfolio in areas of expertise.Main Purpose of Post:* Contributing to the development of an outstanding performance sport environment, community and model of support and education.* Leading the provision and development of Performance Lifestyle Services for TASS and the student performance sport environment.* Developing the Sport Scholarship programme.* Contributing to knowledge development.* Undertaking additional performance sport environment responsibilities from time to time. Significant exposure to dual career / high performance athletes? issues and the experience and credibility to facilitate solutions which positively impact on well-being and performance.* Experience of TASS, and working with / in a Talent Development System.* Experience in the provision of applied services within a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of support services in a high performance environment.* Supporting personal development of dual career athletes through coaching and mentoring.Knowledge and Skills:* An understanding of high performance sport, including athletes, environments, support, coaching and services provided.* A good understanding of how UK higher educational establishments operate, and deliver education, assessments etc.* Effective time management and organisation.* Plan and prioritise own workload to maximise achievement.
