Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is actively seeking a Principal Software Tester to join our team in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) in Washington D.C.This position will be a hybrid of Remote/Virtual/Work from home and will require on-site support at the Pentagon (Washington D.C.) or Mark Center (Alexandria, VA) as required to support test events and customer meetings, etc.Job Duties:

  • The successful candidate will conduct quality testing of DoD readiness data and support testing current and future software applications and modules.
  • Candidate is expected to have a complete understanding of software engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Activities may include supporting testing events, developing and/or mapping requirements to test cases, and supporting design activities.
  • Candidate must be able to provide technical insights to a wide range of complex scenarios where analysis of data requires evaluation.
  • Requires the ability to understand customer problems, quickly learn new tools and technologies, and work both independently and as part of a team of developers and functional experts to rapidly deliver customer solutions.
  • Candidate will represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects, which may require direct communication with customers.
QualificationsRequired Education:
  • Bachelor?s degree with 9 years of experience; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree.
Required Security Clearance:
  • Must a Secret Security clearance.
Required Experience:
  • Experience in developing test cases using web based software and services.
  • Experience with demonstrating aptitudes to learn complex technical aspects of software application and systems.
  • Experience with strong knowledge and experience in structured software testing.
  • Experience using applications to track testing, such as Application Lifecycle Management Tool (ALM).
