Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cost Controller to join our team in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing all aspects of project costs, ensuring that they are within budget and in line with company policies and procedures. Your role will be crucial in helping us maintain financial control and deliver projects successfully.Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement cost control procedures and processes to track project costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  2. Monitor and analyze project costs, identifying areas of potential cost overruns and recommending corrective actions.
  3. Prepare and present regular cost reports to management, providing insights and recommendations to optimize costs and improve project profitability.
  4. Review and validate invoices, purchase orders, and contracts to ensure accuracy and adherence to project budgets.
  5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Assist in the preparation of financial models and business cases for new projects, providing cost estimates and projections.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to cost control and financial management.
  8. Participate in project meetings and provide cost-related inputs and analysis to support decision-making.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost records and documentation, ensuring data integrity and availability for audits or financial analysis.
  10. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement changes.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control or financial analysis, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  4. Proficient in using cost control software and tools.
  5. Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
  6. Attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  9. Good problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  10. Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
