Roles & ResponsibilitiesAssist the VAT In-charge in ensuring end-to-end compliance for the group.Maintain backup data, specifically VAT return workings, in relation to all VAT compliances.Review daily VAT transactions to enhance group compliance and assist in the review of VAT preparations.Review tax recovery processes, ensure the implementation of such processes where applicable, and address any compliance issues.Assist the Finance team in interpreting VAT.Conduct VAT audits.Prepare and manage all documents in line with VAT regulations and other related activities.Possess in-depth knowledge of tax accounting and bookkeeping processes.Hands-on experience in preparing, submitting, and following up on UAE VAT refund applications via the FTA portal, including reconciliation support, documentation compilation, and handling FTA clarifications.Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, including reviewing and utilizing dashboards and reports for VAT reconciliations, data analysis, trend monitoring, and management reporting support.Identify and execute other projects as assigned.Desired Candidate ProfileMinimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in VAT in the UAE (mandatory).Bachelor's Degree in Tax, Accountancy, or a related field (mandatory).Up-to-date knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance (mandatory).Knowledge of GCC VAT and experience in corporate tax.VAT Compliance Diploma.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Proficient in using tax-related software and tools.Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Adaptability to changing regulations and business needs.
