Job Description

Traffic Signal System Operator Dubai, UAE What Youll be Doing:

  • Check status of reported faults, current operating status of intersections and pedestrian crossings daily before the start of Dubai Tram service, and escalate issues as required.
  • Routine monitoring of the status of the Signalized Junctions and Pedestrian Junctions.
  • Reporting and managing faults with the client Maintenance team.
  • Liaising with the client Maintenance on any outstanding faults.
  • Escalation of issues according to the prescribed communication matrix to the client-appointed DITSC Section Manager or appointed representative.
  • Upon request from concerned stakeholder with regards to system logs, coordinate with maintenance team in collecting system logs from maintenance. The collection timeframe shall be as per client approved time policy for Dubai Tram Track Traffic Signal Controllers.
  • Liaising with all internal and external stakeholder as per the instructions from the client appointed DITSC Manager or appointed representative.
  • Performing system checks with the On-Site Engineer and On-Site Technician.
  • Coordinate the reporting of faults of out-station and in-station equipment with the designated Departments within the Traffic and Roads Agency or other agencies.
  • Monitor the road network 24/7 through available CCTV and systems and the reports received from site (OSE and OST) and response to detected incidents and faults as per the approved procedure.
  • Report and Escalate incidents, events, faults to the client as per the KPI of the signed SLA.
  • Maintain an accurate daily log of all detected and reported faults, events, and incidents.
  • UTC/SCOOT Systems & Traffic Signaling Systems and Operations experience
What Required Skills Youll Bring:
  • Diploma in Electrical or Electronics or Communications Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with 3 years of relevant experience in traffic signal operations.
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Commitment to safe work practices
